Hard-working campaigner, standing to be your next Police and Crime Commissioner for Hampshire and the Isle of Wight.
Richard is 52, and has more than 30 years in business, more than half of that as a senior partner of a leading national firm of actuaries. He brings extensive direct management experience but he has also worked advising a huge range of organisations from small charities to UK and global household names. And he will bring all of that experience to the role. He has lived and worked in central Hampshire for nearly 20 years.
After years of cuts, in areas from police budgets to mental health, our criminal justice system is stretched to the limit. We must change our approach.
He will make sure that local issues that reduce the quality of people’s lives, like antisocial behaviour, drug misuse and dangerous driving are not overlooked.
He will focus on crucial issues that need immediate action. We need to support victims of crime and their families, including addressing the disastrous problems which have caused the collapse in successful prosecution for rape.
He will challenge on the issues which have been highlighted by #blacklivesmatter, improving the lives of all who live in our diverse communities.
